Recycle & Get Creative

The options are endless on how you can get creative with recycling or upcycling items.

You may like to participate in our Threads group, or the AIMS Ghost Net Weaving project - a collective project involving several groups across Australia - or work on your own.

If you have a particular interest and you'd like to start your own group, contact us.

Zero Waste Threads Group

We began by focusing on fabric and sewing which included upcycling fabrics, clothing swaps, sewing and repairing.

Following the lead of our community, we have evolved to include all types of materials that can be upcycled into weavings, including rope, plastic, marine debris, and pretty much anything we think we can work with!

We look forward to seeing where the upcycling of waste materials and our ideas can take us in the future.
!
Come and join us - it's FREE!
We meet regularly under the trees on the Picnic Bay foreshore for an afternoon of crafting, sharing skills, sharing ideas and making new friends. Everyone is welcome, no prior experience is necessary.

Contact us to find out about our next 'Crafternoon' session.

Need inspiration?

The internet is overflowing with great recycling and upcycling ideas, both big and small. If you have a project that you feel others will enjoy participating in, contact us.
