About us

Zero Waste Magnetic Island is a group of passionate residents wanting to do something about the ever-increasing volumes of waste on Magnetic Island, which is part of the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area.

The group embraces a vision of preventing, reducing, reusing and recycling waste through community activities that are easy, appealing and fun to do.

Zero Waste Magnetic Island is a voluntary working group of the Magnetic Island Community Development Association (MICDA). Everyone is welcome to join Zero Waste meetings and activities to share ideas and solutions.
